In an effort to mix things up but NOT YET get into ridiculously intense workouts, here’s the plan:
paceline warm-up until 6:30pm
2 technique sprints to fire those neurons
“drop back and chase” drill- I will be the “pack” and circle the course with others at a constant rate (say 20mph)… you drop off the pace (relax, rest, recover) and then do an effort to get back up to us. No flying in front of the group.
Modifiers- sit in the pack if you want a constant output workout; drop way back if you want a BIG workout; lose a whole lap if you are not feeling well. Lots of options
Think about – how much of a gap can you close? can you close a 10 second gap? can you get to the pack without being gassed? what if you are gassed, will you be dropped? These are real race situations!
