January training equals introducing intervals back into your riding, which is also to say that we will not go so hard that we puke, but we’ll get little rest in between efforts.
one main pack rides at 20mph, riders go “off the front” solo for one full lap (at start / finish line) and immediately after the effort they get back into the pack. Some will be able to repeat these efforts lap after lap, some will be caught by the steady pace of the pack and some can simply sit in the pack for the whole workout. Something for everyone!
