This week the rain seemed to keep a lot of people in… There was only a little of 60 riders broken into 2 packs. Surprisingly the race this week seemed a lot faster than in previous weeks corners were a lot smoother and not as much accordioning going on. Same strategy as last week held mid pack until the last 2 laps and started moving up. I took the last turn on the inside and someone hit their brakes in front of me AGAIN, pulled to the outside after the last turn, jumped for the sprint and finished 7th.
From now on I plan on finishing on the outside unless I manage to be in front on the final turn.

Chose the worst conditions for my first race of the year,and first race in a long time.. It was surprisingly fast,cold, wet and windy,,,, no crashes a couple of bumps and shouts. I broke with a few breakaways and kept in the front 1/3 for most of the race, rolled through the finish didn’t contest the sprint about 15th or a little bit deeper.. happy to have finished upright. Looking forward to next week and organizing a little strategy with team members. We are after all a team, you might have noticed the winners worked together to take the race..
