What is WNT?
In attempt to provide a better training environment for all our members, the Team Fremont board has decided that we need to separate the more established and fitter riders from those who are still in the development phase / coming back from injury / more recreational. Therefore, Wednesday Night Training was developed. The curriculum will follow the Early Bird and (now) USAC Bicycle Racing Program (BRP) plan.
Riders would nominally engage in an 8 week course that would prepare them for moving up to TNT if that is there desire.
Week 1 = Get ready to race / assertiveness training
Week 2 = cornering
Week 3 = sprinting
Week 4 = advanced pack riding skills
Weeks 5 through 8 will repeat and so on until the end of time or lack of interest, which ever comes first.
The Fine Print
Riders attending WNT can attend TNT but will be discouraged (how could we stop you anyway). If a rider is ready for upgrade before the 8 weeks are done the WNT mentor / coach will recommend you for moving on to TNT. Tuesday nights which are hill repeats are not so problematic (I hope).
Meet at Eureka Drive. I am aiming to be there at 18:15 latest and begin at 18:30 From I-880, head West on Stevenson. Cross the Boyce / Cherry road intersection and continue west. Take the first right on to Eureka and first driveway on the left in to 39611 Eureka Drive, Newark. Bring lights, helmet, smile and good attitude.
