Where is your favorite place to ride?
My favorite place to ride is right here in our own back yard: Calaveras Road in either direction. Whether clockwise or counterclockwise there’s a good climb and then a middle rolling section which has a terrain and riding personality all of it’s own. I use the reservoir to help judge how far into the ride I am. It’s beautiful at all times of the year and has both tree-lined roadways and rolling open hillsides.
How did you find out about Team Fremont?
I started-off by joining the Fremont Freewheelers to help train for a Tour de Cure ride that my workplace had sponsored. I kept on riding with the club after the Tour de Cure and found out there was a race team associated with the club, so I joined the Race Team Winter rides and then signed-up the team.
What is your favorite race?
Four Corner Criteriums. It doesn’t matter where. It’s the greatest roller coaster ride in the World!
