Palomares TT

March 22, 2014
8:30 am

It’s been a long time since we did an official (non-strava segment) hill climb TT up Palomares.

The plan is for the team to meet at Niles, where i will set the field and provide last minute instructions. Roll out at 08:45 and ride up Niles Canyon to Sunol and back to Palomares.

The start line is at the metal sign post just before the road bears left. Please do not block the road. I am hoping to get a holder, so you can be solidly attached to your bike for the start. The finish line is just before the crest of the hill at the metal sign post adjacent top the ‘K’ rail. I am planning on putting out the usual miles to go markers.

IMPORTANT

When you finish, continue on to the dirt shoulder and DO NOT RETURN to the time keeper to get your time. The road is too narrow to have you all mingling about and becoming targets.

This event will require 3 helpers. Two timekeepers, one at start and one at the finish, who will need to coordinate watches. I only have the one stop watch. We also need the holder at the bottom of hill.

I think i already have enough people volunteering, but please do email to confirm.

TNT for July 2nd and July 4th

July 2, 2013
6:16 pmto8:16 pm

Team and friends

For the next month we will be without Larry leading, and i am restricted as to how much i can be there.

If you can step up and collect the names on the sign up sheet it would be appreciated.

For tonights TNT, meeting at ClubSport, may i suggest it follows the Show and Go format. The attendees can decide amongst themselves what sort of work out you do. Usual timing of gather at 18:15 for a 18:30 depart. Can someone please provide a sign up or send me a list of the attendees.

There maybe a new guest joining in on the fun, his name is Sunil and he is a triathlete. Please take him under your wing wherever you go so that he is comfortable.

Regarding the TNT scheduled for this Thursday July 4th, i think we should make this an unofficial ride. If your still keen to get out there, meet at the usual place at Stevenson and Eureka for a 18:30 depart and work out.

I’ll try and cover some rides.

Early Bird #4 and Meet the Teams Day – January 27

January 27, 2013
9:00 amto4:00 pm

Team,

This coming Sunday it is the annual Early bird Meet the Teams Day.

I am planning on bringing out and setting up the full monty (tent, chairs, tables, food, wheels etc).

Please make an effort to ride on by and hang out. the more people who see us, the better advertisement we are. (of course until they hear Baxters potty mouth)

I am trying to arrange for Chipotle to provide 30 meals, but they are strangely radio silent. If we do get the goodies, food should be available about noon.

Weather is looking dodgy. If it rains, the Meet the Teams effort will be moved to the following Sunday (Feb 3rd)
