Hello Team and friends
After having a mellow October, it is time to start regrouping and thinking about a little more structure for the team rides.
We will be splitting in to groups that reflect your fitness, ability, skills, desire and your membership status.
The ‘A’ group is invitation only. The ‘B’ group is for all other team members who can maintain a good tempo and guests. The ‘C’ Group is for development riders and those not ready for the ‘B’ group.
Your group will be assigned by the team captain and the more experienced team members, based upon what we saw in October on team rides on the weekends and at TNT’s. You assignment is open to re-evaluation at any time, and if you think you need reassignment, please contact the Captain or president to discuss. Your assignment will be notified to you ASAP on the team roster google doc, which as a team member, you have access to.
Hopefully, come February, there will be no ‘C’ development rides, as you will have graduated up to the B or A groups.
I am looking for group leaders. Please do not be shy. Group leaders will be responsible for maintaining cohesiveness of their group and if there is a ride plan, that the plan is stuck to. Group leaders will also carry the ride sign-up sheet, just in case. If A and B riders are on personal training plans that call for a mellower ride, please lead the ‘C’ group.

Race Team Ride #5 – Del Valle
This is the first ride where we are splitting the Race Team rides in to groups.
We will ride out thru Niles Canyon to Pleasanton. From the top of the hill above Del Valle, there are options to turn around there or descend to the lake for extra mileage and vertical feet.
All race team members are requested to wear their team uniform.
Rain will stop play. No stopping, no dropping. Minimal regroups.
