Team,

Yesterday Team Fremont provided the course setup, marshals and tear down crew for the latest iteration of the Red Kite race series.

I want to record how happy and proud i was of how we did an outstanding job helping Steve Rosefield run the event.

Special thanks to West Kurihara who wrangled and scheduled members for their shifts

In no particular order, here is who lent their shoulder to the wheel:

West Kurihara

Jackie Magno

Alex Cortez

Liz Gaitos (all day, with one break to race and collect more wine with a 4th place finish in the W3 event)

Chris Gaitos

Mark Sneed and his by far fairer half Caroline

Lina Gourova and her partner Mark. Lina also had her first W4 race and did exceptionally well.

Brian Gokey

Jenny Peng

Kaitlin Gokey

Cynthia Wang (Cynthia raced and got 2nd in the W3 event (Dad says thx for the vino).

Robert Gonzalez. rob raced as well and was massive at the end of day.

Bill Brier. Bill was there and was third to arrive and last to leave. his day went from 05:55 to 20:00. Huge thank you.

Richard Brockie. Richard was there in his capacity as results guru with his OnTheDay.net hat on. Thx for the early morning astronomy lesson 🙂

Gazza Birch. Gazza spent most of the day hanging out with his new best friend, Master Austin Gokey. Austin is seven and is checking out his toes every day to see if his toe hair is growing (inside joke).

For our troubles, Steve R distributed some more wine and best of all, we have secured some free race entries for RK events AND $600.00 in cash, which the board will ponder over on how it is best used.
