Track day at Hellyer Velodrome

Hellyer Country Park parking fee is $6.00

Located off I-101 in Souf San Jose

Bring shoes, and pedals, bash hat and good attitude.

6 lap winter warm-up (together in a smooth paceline for 5 laps, very fast on the last lap)

stop and talk about “team race” (best placed three teammates, e.g. 1st, 5th and 6th = 12 points is better than 2nd, 3rd and 10th = 15 points)

Team Ride #11 – Calaveras / Palomares Loop

The Race Team will split into groups.

The ‘A’ group is invitation only. The ‘B’ group is for all other team members and guests. The ‘C’ group is for development riders.

We will head South to climb the wall on Calaveras Road, then head North to complete the Calaveras loop. Serious riders will continue on to do the Palomares loop in a counter clockwise direction.

All race team members are requested to wear their team uniform.

Rain will stop play. No stopping, no dropping. Minimal regroups

Start from the Niles Parking Lot next to Niles Plaza Park, on Niles Boulevard, opposite ‘H’ street.

two technique sprints
solo lap for time (turn 3 to turn 3)
short skills drill
five laps paceline – tempo – recovery for next effort
two-up for one lap for time (turn 3 to turn 3) – times MUST be faster than solo
short skills drill

The ‘A’ group is invitation only. The ‘B’ group is for all other team members who can maintain a good tempo and guests. The ‘C’ Group is for development riders and those not ready for the ‘B’ group.

An exploration of little used roads coz they don’t go anywhere, except UP.

All race team members are requested to wear their team uniform.

Join in one the longest running riding traditions in the Bay area.

This ride can be MASSIVE, last years good weather brought out

Over 400 participants! Goes south from Danville to Dublin,

Camino Tassajara, Blackhawk and Danville

All race team members are requested to wear their

team uniform. Rain will stop play. No stopping, no dropping.

Start from the California Pedlar in Danville at 495 Hartz Avenue OR Garry’s house (I will be leaving at 08:30 sharp)

We head out over Palomares to Castro Valley, then climb Redwood and Pinehurst, Moraga, St. Mary’s, to Walnut Creek and then south to back to Fremont. The ‘C’ group route may be amended to be shorter.
